It’s almost May and clubs across the footballing world are getting to the business end of the season. May is when championships are decided, relegations issues are settled, and cups are won and lost. Before long footballers and their clubs will prepare to take a well-earned break. This includes all the dedicated club staff. Not least the groundstaff, who have worked hard all season keeping playing surfaces in the best condition possible at any given moment and now they get the chance to implement their close season plans. However, time is short as some leagues will start the new season 2022-2023 in barely 3 months time!

So even during the close season there is always plenty going on. Work quickly commences on pitches that are earmarked for improvement and rejuvenation.
