Matchsaver deliver Air Roller Covers to Switzerland and Scotland

Matchsaver Air Roller Covers have been busy again delivering flexible world class pitch protection to customers across Europe.

Letzigrund Stadium, Zurich Switzerland

Stadion Letzigrund is home to both FC Zurich and Grasshoppers football clubs who share the venue. It is used regularly for cup finals and internationals plus it’s a world-famous athletics stadium.

With a football capacity of 25,000 the present design was rebuilt on the site of the old stadium and was re-opened in 2007 in time for the Euro’s of 2008.

Matchsaver delivered Air Roller Covers to the multi-use facility to help keep specific areas of the pitch from freezing and to provide protection from excessive rainfall throughout a very wet winter and spring 22-23.

These pitch covers were in addition to those sent to Grasshopper Zurich’s training facility in summer 2022.

Livingston FC, Livingston Scotland

With a capacity of 9,500 it has been the club’s home ground since 1995. Stands protect supporters on all sides from the elements. However, during winter one stand can keep certain areas of the surface in shadow which can lead to problems with the artificial pitch freezing. Therefore, waterproof Matchsaver Air Roller Covers were delivered to provide a flexible solution to help prevent that from happening.
